Galaxy Note 8.0 is the best Android tablet to date

I have owned many different brands and sizes of tablets over the past 2-3 years and the Note 8.0 is by far the best one I have bought. I have to say I like the Android Ecosystem a lot better than the iOS Ecosystem mainly because I don't have to use iTunes to do everything. I can plug the USB cable into my laptop and drag and drop my music, photos or videos right into the device. I can add more storage by adding a microSD card. I have the FREEDOM to do basically anything I want to the device.

Total waste of money. Will be returning. Really wanted to give this a chance but all it does is crash or give me constant errors. Extremely frustrating all the Samsung apps that you can't remove. Who's device is it anyway? This was my first Samsung device, I guess they make ok TV's but this was a colossal waste of time and money. Honestly don't know how there are so many good reviews. Great until last update

By

from Barto, PA

Since last update it does not sync all apps. I have to do each app individually every day. I keep getting messages that say I must turn on Master Sync in the settings but I cannot find a Master Sync in my settings. I am very unhappy with this issue. Up until now I loved it!

This product forces you to interface with their selected vendors to function fully

By

from Undisclosed

This product forces you set up an account with their selected email vendor to function properly for email or video services such as Netflix. Absolutely ridiculous. Product functionality between applications requires multiple unnecessary steps and is inefficient and distracting. The device was heavier than I expected.

Productivity & Creativity

By

from Clover, SC

Being an artist and a teacher, when looking for a new tablet that would serve me well in both those capacities while also small and portable, only the Note 8 fit the bill. S Note has been my go to app for all the various notes for work, from parent conferences, professional development, to lesson planning on the go. The S- pen has completely turned me off of ever using my finger or stylus to draw or paint again. With Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, I have my sketchbook and canvases with me where ever I go and with the pressure sensitivity I need to recreate art mediums. At home, the Note 8 has beautiful graphics when I watch Netflix and play games in Power Saving mode without any loss of quality, which really impressed me. I recommended the Note 8 to my mother, a crafter and grandma, and she's just as in love with it as I am.

Great concept in theory

By

from Ottawa, ON, Canada

I have always wanted one of the Galaxy Note products for use taking notes at the office, but could not justify the high cost. When the Galaxy Note 8 was priced right, I immediately bought one. I was pleased that it immediately upgraded to Android 4.4, but later discovered that this version of Android had a few serious issues with it: The device keeps on indicating that it is overheating (when it is not) and the battery life is terrible. Both these issues are mentioned by several other users, who first noticed this after upgrading to Android 4.4. As for taking notes, I find that while the stylus is a great concept in theory, in the end I am able to enter notes faster and more accurately with the Google keyboard I installed after purchase. To be fair, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is not a bad tablet, just not worth the relatively high price.

Love the features

By

from Virginia Beach, VA

This tablet may not be the newest one but it has great features that will blow your mind. The video streaming is so high definition thst it makes you feel like you are there in the moment. The speakers of this tablet are loud and clear. It is very cheap yet it is better than most of the newer tablrts. The only problem I have with the tablet is that the battery life is wo short. It said that it can last for 8 hours but it hardly even reaches an hour and a half with full settings. That is the only thing that is wrong with this tablet but overall, it is a must buy.

I love this tablet, features are easy to use. However there is one problem i have with this product and it is: making night videos., i cant seem to adjust the lighting for the video to come out clear. I choose indoor, night,. incandescent etc, but the vdeos are still very dark and the color is off, overall i love my gizmo..

Overall would have rather spent extra money for a Surface

By

from New Mexico

Battery Life is a little too short. Would like more availability of office compatible items like excel and word document. Picture taking quality is OK, but difficult to hold and shoot in the case.

Questions about this item:

Than H  can i show powerpoint presentation from galaxy note 8 to audiences through projector?
THOMAS S  Need to put pp file on note or be able to access from a cloud server. You need an app that can open a pp file on note. Getting from the note to the projector is an issue because the projector is just a video device like a pc screen. You need a device like Google Chrome or something that can take a WiFi connection and make video for the projector. Like apple tv. I really don't know how to do it. If the projector is on the network perhaps the note could access it. Connectivity to and from any tablet is an issue and note simple. Use a laptop in this case. Tablets suck for most real world business tasks.
Somsak S  Is this item new?
ZAHIRA C  Yes I purchased this item as a brand new item.
nancy c  Can used Phone same time ?
KAREN M  Sorry, but not sure I understand the question :-\
