I purchased this tripod for use with a Sony VX-2100 Digital Handycam video camera. While it supports it quite well, there is a major problem with the plate release mechanism. There is excessive play when the camera is locked in position and if you touch the camera to adjust the zoom button or focus ring or pan with it, it makes the camera tilt about 1/8" in the verticle. But that is enough to make major changes to your view and there appears to be no remedy to the problem.
