This tripod is worthless. It is totally unstable and shakes tremendously...and I have even weighed this thing down with plenty of weight....it's so unstable that the mirror opening and closing when you push the shutter will produce shake and you will have unuseable, motion blurred images with any shot slower than like 1/30 of a second. That completely defeats the purpose of even using a tripod. The only way to avoid is to shoot on live view with the mirror locked up or use a point & shoot. And the head mounting section broke off of the column so now it is totally worthless...I seldomy use this tripod (maybe 5 times) ...there's not even a scratch on this thing, but what should be one of the most stable parts of the tripod is basically dust already. Don't buy!

The twist locks on the legs are make the tripod slow to set up and take down. However, the price and light weight make it very attractive.

I purchased this tripod to support the camera and sizable lens, but also a small refractor telescope that weighs in at over 10 lbs.

I saw this tripod while on a trip to Scottsdale last year and really liked the quality of construction and the design. I bought a ball head for it as well. I have been using it for the last month or so and have been very happy with it.
