Quality Tripod

I use this tripod mostly for landscape photography. I like the light weight but steady feel. The bubble level is very helpful, the legs adjust easily the tripod remains stable in breezy conditions. I would recommend this tripod.

solid support

After using some cheap tripods over the last couple years, I needed a replacement without spending a lot. After using the CF-500 for a few weeks now, I think I made the right choice. Although slightly heavier than I'd planned (that's on me, I just didn't pay close enough attention to specs), it's rock solid and the adjustments operate smoothly and easily. The inclusion of smaller center column makes low-angle shots easy. If you're thinking of buying a good mid-range tripod, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Fantastic Value!

By

from Denver Colorado  -  Photo Enthusiast

The SV CF-500 Tripod is a real winner. I scoured the internet for a good value Carbon tripod. I had not heard much about this particular one, but from the reviews and ratings of the CF-300 and 100 series tripods I knew I would not be let down by this one! The Legs are rock solid stable, especially if you hang a bag or extra something from the stability hook. The Head is a very nice head, not perfect, but does my needs very very well. The pan is butter smooth, and once you 'break in' the ball of the head it's movements become quite smooth and precise as well. Upon delivery I took the head off the legs, and made sure everything was tight (there was a slight wobble from the factory) And with a small dab of loc-tite there is no wobble anywhere in the whole system! For such a wonderful value I'm more than happy with my purchase. I know it will last me years to come, and with the money I saved over a top-shelf tripod I'll be able to go on more than one photo trips!
