The Swann 16 Channel DVR with Smartphone Viewing is used to record high quality video on up to 16 channels simultaneously in real time. With various recording modes such as constant, schedule, motion, alarm and NetViewer, the DVR uses H.264 compression format and stores videos on a 500GB hard disk storage capacity (which can be expanded up to 4TB), allowing you to store more than 7 days of continuous recorded feed from all 16 channels. Using an RJ45 cable and an Ethernet port, the DVR can be connected to a LAN network. It supports network protocols such as TCP/IP (DHCP, UDP, DDNS), PPPoE, UPnP and dynamic DNS. Offering easy control using Internet EXPLORer or the NetViewer software, the DVR can be used to take a back up of the data over the network and has a USB port that enables transfer of data on a USB device.

Featuring a HDMI port, the DVR allows viewing of live images or recorded videos on a local monitor with 1920 x 1080 for HDMI, up to 1440 x 900 for VGA and AV Out (NTSC 720x480, PAL 720x576) resolutions and also supports live viewing on any 3G enabled iPhone, Blackberry android, or other smartphones. The DVR uses 16 inputs for composite video inputs and 16 inputs for audio and has 2 composite video output ports and an audio out port for monitoring purposes.
