Great lens for a very good price

By

The lens is a surprise and very well worth the money if you don't mind the manual focus. If you're a professional then it should not be a problem. Compared to other lenses this is almost - very close - as good as a major manufacturer lens for the fraction of the price. Sharpness and distortion (lack of) is on par with the best lenses. Get your hands on one, I think the price is going to go up very soon.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Hi, How does this focus confirm chip works on Samyang 85mm f/1.4?
JAMES L  I find it works well and is accurate. I shoot with the nikon d7000. If you look through the view finder, on the lower left corner you will see either an arrow pointing right or left, or a dot. As you focus and see an arrow, turn the focus ring in the direction of the arrow, when you get a dot, you are in focus. The more time you spend with manual focus the faster you get at it. I find this lens is a true bargain. This lens has great bokeh, and can have stunningly shallow depth of field. I hope this helps.
