The Teradek Odyssey TED10-4SDE 4 Channel H.264 Network Video Encoder includes three encoders and two companion codecs. The Odyssey line is unique in its ability to encode virtually every video input and resolution in the world today. Odyssey's 1080p/60 HD video broadcast over IP provides startling clarity and resolution, with extremely low latency network bandwidth and low latency.

Odyssey is extremely rugged and features an aluminum case with a small footprint, no moving parts inside and an embedded operating system designed for mission critical reliability. Odyssey is extremely energy efficient. Odyssey's hardware compression provides the highest performance at lowest power consumption. Odyssey can utilize both power over Ethernet (PoE) and DC via an input jack, as redundant power sources to further increase reliability. Installation and operation are simple and intuitive.

Odyssey features gigabit Ethernet and includes an advanced built-in web server that automatically discovers and pairs with other Teradek devices independent of network infrastructure greatly simplifying installation and use. Odyssey's WebUI is simple yet sophisticated allowing the user to easily configure the unit, name video streams, watch live or recorded video and much more. Odyssey features a composite video output for displaying video. Odyssey can display the local video input or remotely captured video in a single screen or 2 x 2 multiplexed screen.

Odyssey is designed around the world's premier video processor, Maxim's Mobilygen MG3500 H.264 High Profile Hardware Codec. Level 4.1 H.264 is an advanced compression algorithm providing a 2:1 reduction in bit rates with equal image quality when compared to MPEG2.
