These filters reduce the amount of light passing through the camera lens without changing the color of the scene. They are especially useful in bright light conditions to help prevent overexposure. Neutral Density filters also allow proper exposure at a wider lens opening for reduced depth-of-field to highlight a key subject by making the foreground and/or background out of focus.

Ok lets get this out there This is not multi coated glass here.If you are looking for one that is MCG then you going to spend more money. As for this one its Bang your bucks here. i know there is only few reviews on here but do a google search for it and you will read alot of great reviews for this filter. Now i will say tiffen does give you a hard plastic case to store it in now this is good and bad. the bad part is it does rattle around when carrying it. so you can get a filter case to store it in or just get used to it like i did. i have enjoy using this filter it does everything what i need it for. so if you are on a budget or looking for a bang for your buck filter then try this out first i think you will like it
Very Good filter but the case for it is awful. Had I known this I would have purchased a different brand IE: Hoya. Thge filter rattles around in the case real bad, a very loose fit to say the least. Since this filter is not alway on the lens I feel this is cause for concern.
