About Tiffen 82 ND Filter

Often, you want to balance light intensity between two areas within a scene. This is important outdoors to allow more sky detail while properly exposing the foreground. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky, exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark, underexposed.

One reason why the Tiffen 82 ND Filter is popular is because of its Clear optics

You really need this product, period.

To add depth to your landscape shot and not have the sky blown out or the forground loose shadow detail a graduated filter is a must.

Graduated ND

from San Diego CA  -  Pro Photographer

Yes, you can do a lot in photoshop, you always do. However, when you get it right, when you take the shot, the results are always better. ND-Grads are a must. Below a #6, not worth it. Now you can expose/focus on the subject highlights without blowing out the sky..... Also, tip, most wide angle zooms will "vinette" with multiple filters (UV+ND)get a larger ND with step need to constantly remove UV

Great buy

I go to the beach twice a month to shoot sunrise's, the filter takes care of the bright horizon allowing me to shoot with the proper exposure. I've been looking for this filter for a few months and came across it on the web-site. This is THE number one filter for me at sunrise.
