the screw on my current plate won't fit into my dslr (Canon 70d). Will this work?
I have a 7D, 5D and 6D and it fits to all, same with my iPohe and iPad holder.
As far as I know, there are two standardized thread sizes used for camera mounts: ¼”-20 tpi (threads-per-inch) or 3/8” screw sizes. With the exception of heavier pro cameras and tripod collars on heavier lenses, which rely on 3/8” screw mounts, most consumer cameras use ¼”-20 screw threads. , There are cheap adapter screws/nuts available to change this o change from small to large, but to be honest, I have never had any problem. You should be able to change a 3/8 screw in the plate anyway to a 1/34 and vice versa
This should work, the DSLRS accept a 1/4" screw and these baseplates should come with that. Mine did.
yes.. the included screw in the plate is the standard 1/4 20 for all cameras. It attaches to both my Canon C300 or my Canon 5D --
Hope that answers your question.
THE DOLLY I BOUGHT FROM YOU COLLAPSED AND MY $8,000.00 CAMERA FELL TO THE GROUND. THE TRIPOD HEAD I BOUGHT FROM YOU STRIPPED OUT AFTER ONLY A FEW MONTHS OF USE. YOU SOLD ME A $650.00 BATTERY FOR MY CAMCORDER AND IT FAILED DURING A VIDEO SHOOT.
I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM YOU SCHMUCKS AT ADORAMA!!!!!!!!

The screw is a standard 1/4 x 20 screw. Check the specs on your camera to see what the screw thread in its base is.
