The more I use this lens for portrait work, the more I like it. The colors are nice and at 200mm the bokeh is incredible but sometimes the focus isn't as accurate as I would like as it tends to back focus sometimes and is the autofocus lens a little on the slow side. Overall good lens though and at a decent price.

Lens performance exceeds all my expectations. Well worth the money. Adorama very easy to do business with, will most definitely use them for future equipment needs

First off a would like to thank Adorama for their great service when I screwed up my first order the company made it so easy to reorder . I am a night shooter and the Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 G1 Gives new life to my Canon 70D .

I love this lens. I read lots and lots of reviews on different brands to buy a 70 200 mm. And I decided on the Tamron because not only was it nearly 1000$ cheaper than a canon brand, but the reviews all saod it was so close in comparison, that the 1000$ extra wasn't reasonable. I've only had the lens about a month, but I am in love with quality!!! Definetly a game changer! The only issue is, it is very heavy. Sometimes hard to handle for very long. I may end up investing in a tripod for this one. Still manageable though

When compared to the Canon 70-200, the Tamron does a really great job for the price. It is a little noisy, but that isn't a factor how I shoot. It's tremendously sharp and fast and the f2.8 creates beautiful bokeh. I'd recommend this lens to anyone.

I purchased this lens at a great price, and within a week the price dropped another ($) Adorama had a ($) in store credit within 48hrs (my choice for the credit). the lens is spectacular. Used it twice now as well as allowed a friend to use to capture a little league Championship. Truly a superb investment....

My review will be short since i haven't used a lot, plus i'm assuming everyone knows what this lens can do since it's a 2.8 I really liked the build and overall quality of the lens, the positions of the zoom and aperture rings etc. It might not have the quality of its Canon counterpart, but for the cheaper price, i'll take it.

I was looking into having a f/2.8 zoom lens. I've only had it a short period of time, but after doing some testing at home and zooming into the photo, I can say that it is pretty sharp. It's a heavy, solid lens but a really good lens. Very pleased with it and anticipate I will get much usage out of it, especially in low lighting situations.

I tried this lens for a dance recital and loved the quality of the pictures. With the low light, the f2.8 was extremely helpful. I have a crop sensor, so the zoom was more and wonderful! I talked to many people about this lens and the difference with Nikon, Sigma and Tamron, but the Tamron lens won by far. I bought this lens right before Christmas and received a great rebate. The staff at Adorama helped me find the best quality for my price range. Definitely a must lens, especially if you love shooting in lower light, or you love shooting animals. I loved taking it to the zoo for a trial and was very pleased with the quality of the pictures!

I love and use mostly prime lenses. So when I try this zoom lens I was shock to find out how sharp it was and felt in love. Just photographed a full session with this lens and my images came out with a beautiful and creamy bokeh. I'm in love!

When compared to the Nikon 70-200, the Tamron does a really good job for the price. It is a little noisy, but for non-professionals, that should not be a factor. I use this lens with the Nikon D500... provides a good range and performs very well in low-light situations.

A substantial upgrade from the kit lens, this has the size and weight to prove it. Constant 2.8 max aperture means it doesn't change as you zoom. Bright and allows for shallow depth of field. Lens reviews show that it compares to the Nikon equivalent at a fraction of the price. Good image stabilization (I would not buy a long lens without it). Tripod collar is included. Only negative is the size and weight. This is a beast to carry around.

Like the lens very much so. The 6 year warranty from Tamron and the Leaf 3 year warranty is also great. But still have not received the UV filter. Also the leans cleaning items were not with the original pack.
