The Toshiba BDx2200 Wi-Fi Ready Blu-ray Player is a compact multi-format disc player that offers an interactive entertainment experience in addition to high quality video and audio processing.

The BDx2200 supports the full HD 1080p resolution encoded on Blu-ray discs. When combined with an HDTV that also supports this resolution, you can enjoy the crisp, clear visuals on your favorite Blu-ray discs. And you can see your collection of DVDs in a new light, since this player will upconvert them to 720p, 1080i or 1080p for enhanced picture quality that is closer to the look of a Blu-ray disc. Since it also supports playback at 24p (frames per second), you can enjoy a truly cinematic experience. 3:2 pulldown progressive scanning creates smooth, high quality imaging.

In addition to films, you can access online extras with this player for an interactive entertainment experience. Since it is Wi-Fi ready, you can connect it to your home internet connection (sold separately) to take advantage of all it has to offer. Once connected, you can access online streaming services like CinemaNow, Netflix, BlockBuster On Demand, Pandora and VUDU (some require a subscription). With BD Live Profile 2.0 you can also download extras found online like chats, games, quizzes, movie trailers and more with Blu-ray discs that support this feature so you won't miss out on a thing.

To accompany your favorite movies, this player has a built-in decoder for DTS and DTS HR Master Audio, which are audio formats encoded on many Blu-ray discs. Master Audio offers 7.1 channels of lossless digital audio to give you a detailed, immersive sound field. But that's not all. Just pop in a USB memory drive to listen to MP3 files or see your JPEG photos displayed in high resolution on your HDTV.

It supports playback of your CDs and even has an SD memory card slot so you can access additional files.
