Better to have and not need...
This is a small, collapsible, lightweight tripod, not built for heavy cameras but will do the job. When you need to take that picture with your friend, just pull it from your bag where you even forgot you had it and just like that it's done!
It's a buy and forget it's there till you need it... One of those things to better have and not need than need and not have!
Just remember this tripod does not replace the need for a sturdy, proper tripod.
