-great to get up or down or around to get a shot that you can't otherwise get into position for -small, light, easy to take along -the above advantages start to become disadvantages at about the weight range of my Canon G12. With more weight than that I believe it would be too unstable. It didn't claim to be a magic wand, though in some conditions it seems like one.

I own two and I just bought one for a friend. I love it because I can now include myself in photos and it is easy to carry and easy to use.

Of course you don't expect these types of things to hold a DSLR but this one is particularly bad. It's cheaply constructed, and doesn't hold much more than the lightest of point and shoots. I wouldn't even trust a small mirroless camera on it as the slightest amount of weight makes the camera flip upside down. The screw mount is also very poor quality. For just a little bit more, you can get other mini-monopods like this that are much higher quality.

I use this to hold my GoPro camera to do underwater shots. The thing that I like least about this product is the weakness of the swivel at the head of the wand. It is hard to keep my camera stable to get my shot.

Seems to be very well built so far. The 1/4" screw head is made of plastic so I'll be curious how well it holds up, but so far so good.

It holds the camera great. Having trouble with timer on camera. I will get it working but it does hold the camera fine.

Nice to take pictures of yourself or your pets if they are shy. Hard to keep the end your holding out of the picture.

I added a GoPro tripod mount adaptor and used both my GoPro and Extreme Cam with this product. It worked well, but did pick up a bit of audio transfer noise which sounded like a creeking sound when the tripod was turned by hand. Other than that, it has worked very well and is easy to use and carry. I really enjoy using it, expecially when shooting video of street vendors and outside events.

I have always been a self portrait enthusiast and this wand allows me to include more of the background in my photos. It's always awkward showing a stranger how to use your camera and this makes my self photos extremely easy. My granddaughter thinks it's fantastic and fun to use. I have used it many times with great success. I can also take photos clandestinely using my Samsung MV800.

The problem I have with this is the head isn't strong enough to hold my Rebel T2i DSLR camera. It's made for very lightweight or cheap cameras. Bummer it's not more solid.

I use this with my Sony Bloggie to capture video in landscape mode (if you're a bloggie owner using a pod of any kind you know what I mean). I'm can rotate it 90 degress and easily hold it up over the crowd to capture our sons sporting events. It definitely saves the arm strength. This is well worth the price.

Only for light weight cameras or cam corders. Ounce camera is mounted theres no way to tithing mount. If used with smaller camera it works great, weather your taking a self portrait or walking with small video camera.
