Flashpoint Quick Release Clamp with Quick Release Plate included

This is not my first quick release. The previous one released with a single latch that was quick and easy. I like this one a lot and it was the only one I found for my camera, the Canon EOS 40D. This one takes two steps to remove the camera from the clasp. I understand that it is probably for saftey for such expensive equipment. For my use it is fine. I do not need to quickly remove the camera, but if I were in a situation where I needed to immediately remove the camera in order to not miss a shot, I might be frustrated. I use my tripod for photographing jewelry for advertising and web media.
