No, I would not buy it again
Yes, it does fit iPhone 4s without and with a case. Have not tried it with any larger phone.
No, Slingshot as a whole system is certainly NOT a video stabilizer. Partially true that it makes shooting video a bit easier since holding the handle is more comfortable and natural than holding the phone without it.
As a 'tripod' it is flimsy and shaky - even very careful light touch to release the shutter will disturb the system. The ball head has quite limited range. If you want to take still pictures you'd better use a timer and protect the tripod from ANY wind.
When iPhone inserted deep into the 'hands' the view of the front camera is partially obstructed. Still, inserting the phone halfway into the hands let you do skyping pretty comfortably.

Nice tripod holder, but misleading
This is a nice little product, and well worth the money they are asking for it.
But... the designer is promoting this as a video phone stabilizer, to get rid of shaky, wiggly video. which it clearly will NOT do.
That description is deceptive, and not entirely honest.
If you are buying this product to achieve nice smooth stabilized video capture, then prepare to be disappointed.
This product is a VERY GOOD mobile phone tripod, but a video stabilizer it is not.
Any walking, or running around will still result is shaky video.
If you are just standing still and filimg another stationary object then it may "slightly" help, but it will not and cannot help if you are moving around walking or running.
The best part of this thing is the cradle that you can unscrew and attach to a "REAL" stabilizer.
So, if you are looking for a mobile phone tripod, then this is a very nice product.. just don't buy this expecting any kind of real video stabilization.
