About Tamrac

• The System 6 is designed to carry a digital or film SLR with an attached zoom lens in Tamrac's USA patented Lens-Bridge and LensGate Divider Systems plus 3 to 4 extra lenses and a flash. Equipment is protected in completely foam-padded adjustable dividers beneath Tamrac's full coverage Dual Action Top .
• The 5606 is equipped with a Slide Pocket that incorporates Tamrac's exclusive Memory & Battery Management System (patent pending) for holding memory cards, batteries and other accessories. A pocket inside the top keeps film and accessories visible and organized. The ZipDrop front pocket is compartmentalized for accessories or personal items and a zippered mesh accessory pocket keeps small items in easy reach. Side pockets provide extra storage and a zippered back pocket provides a place for tickets and documents. You can add Tamrac accessories using the attachment slots for the Strap Accessory System (S.A.S.) to customize this bag. An EasyGrip handle, Piggy-Back Pocket, BioCurve shoulder strap with a non-slip patch, and tripod straps combine with the rest of the features to make this an excellent choice for the photographer with a single camera and plenty of equipment.

Epic Storage

I started shopping for a camera bag 2 weeks after I purchased my 1st DSLR and I am a super critical shopper. I can find flaws, negative aspects, and places where a change here would win big with other users-but I'll be honest with you reading this, I'm not sure the bag could be improved! I looked at over a dozen bags from 3 manufactures and I found my self always migrating back to Tamrac products. I recently purchased my first DSLR with the basic 18-55mm lens and already acquired quite a few other accessories, YN-460 speedlite, 3 camera batteries, pistol grip, tripod, filters, hard drive, chargers, small point & shoot camera, dozens of AA and AAA batteries, SD & CF cards, filters, etc. I guess I thought this bag would serve its immediate purpose of quick access, utility (how easy it was to access and use), durability w/o sacrificing protection and quality, longevity, and how much I could grow w/o getting into bigger more cumbersome bags, portability, and how big a foot print it would take up because I'm limited in real-estate in my vehicle and places I shoot. Before I kept most of this stuff just loose or in my laptop bag and was struggling with professionalism in the way I looked and organization, but managed for years! Within minutes of packing all of this in the bag I still had room to grow add a couple of lens and I could tell how organized it was. I can reach into the bad w/o looking and its great. Even friends and now customers have commented on how awesome it looks to walk up with bad and tripod in hand. It's added an aspect to my hobby that has become a 2nd profession for me in my spare time. I am already looking at my 2nd Tamrac bag and possibly a different business model then I currently using. In my opinion you wont find a better bag for the value! I've already recovered my investment in the organization and professionalism, while acheiving a durable camera bag with tons of protection! After I did a couple of shoots, I was downloading some photos at my parents home and my mother (who been a photographer for decades) commented on my bag...I said oh yeah, what kind do you have? She replied, Tamrac. The bag was in excess of 6 years old and camera too, used twice a week on average and the bag was in excellent shape 8 out of 10 in physical appearance and still a 10 on the inside. It ironic I never asked her before I purchased my bag, but now I bounce ideas off of her and she's a wealth of knowledge I can tap into.

Great centralized storage option

By

from San Antonio, TX  -  Photo Enthusiast

I purchased this item to centralize and store all of my gear for the purpose of keeping it all in one place neatly and also to offer a way of protecting it in transit. I would not use it for active location shooting since you can't quickly retrieve items without stopping and setting the bag down and opening it up. But for simple storage and protection, it's great. It can be customized for most needs and offers a ton of pockets, zippered compartments, mesh net slots, etc. You can store a pretty large collection of photography equipment inside.

Handy bag, great for camera and accessor

By

from Colorado  -  Semi-pro Photographer

We use this bag for digital camcorders, batteries, wireless mics and cables associated with classroom recording. It's great to have a quality bag with room for enough storage so we can have everything associated with the camcorder ready to go in one easy-carry bag. This is a high quality bag that will last for decades - definitely worth having.

Perfect fit

By

from North Myrtle Beach, SC  -  Photo Enthusiast

This has become my go to bag because it is versatile, well constructed, and has lots of room. I use it to carry a Canon 7D with battery grip, 550EX flash, gorillapod, a 50mm lens, and all the trimmings, along with an attached 17-40 L or 70-200 L. This is just the right size for my needs: easy to carry and easy to carry onto an airplane. I only wish that there was some other way to carry a tripod other than the two straps on the bottom of the bag. That design makes the bag unwieldy when so loaded and hard to rest on a flat surface without putting the tripod directly on the ground sideways.

Just right

By

from North Myrtle Beach, SC  -  Photo Enthusiast

Needed a bag that I could carry on an airplane that would take my Canon 7D with battery pack, some lenses, a speedlite, and all the accessories, including a Gorillapod. This bag fit the bill with room to spare. It is well made and comfortable to carry. Would definitely recommend its consideration to anyone who had similar needs.

Excellent Camera Bag

By

from Marietta, GA  -  Photo Enthusiast

The Tamrac 5606 has proven to be an excellent investment for my camera system. I use a Canon T1i with the BG-E5 battery grip. I usually carry three lenses, a flash, several filters, multiple batteries for flash and camera, a lens cleaning kit, a flash reflector, and an assortment of other odds and ends and this all fits comfortably in this case with room to spare. I have enough space to add a light meter and more. The protective internal layers of this case keep all of my gear safe and well secured. I would highly recommend this system bag to anyone who has need to house and carry multiple lenses and additional equipment while not needing to step up to a larger, multi-camera system bag.
