The Triad EMP-4V Carbon Fiber 3-Section Monopod is a compact and lightweight monopod that combines the strength of magnesium and carbon fiber. The monopod is crafted from carbon fiber using an exclusive, patented process. Under intense pressure, long carbon fibers are combined with resin to produce a stronger tube that absorbs more vibration-and it has a wall thickness of only 1.2mm.

Triad engineers have also replaced all aluminum components with magnesium. The switch represents a lateral move in sturdiness, yet a substantial gain in strength and overall reduction of weight. The average weight reduction of magnesium compared to aluminum is about 35%.

The EMP-4V is equipped with a VTA-7 head which can be used together with the TRIAD VPA-10 plate. The TRIAD VPA-10 is a small camera adapter plate which can be used for compact DV or HDV cameras. This professional plate has multiple locations where you can place the thread and locator pin to fit your camcorder. This also makes it functional for cameras such as the Panasonic AG-3DA1, where the thread is placed at the front of the camera.
