The rain cover is sewn to the M.A.S. pocket: NOT a rain cover you just remove from the M.A.S. pocket and use. So the user must remove the M.A.S. from its M.A.S. location i.e. on the back pack, a M.A.S. belt... Thus one cannot just replace the too small cover that came with the pack and put it in the pocket the back pack came with. Also this requires removal of the M.A.S. pocket and tucking it in thus it takes extra time to deploy the rain cover in a rain storm. This falls in to failed planning just like the original rain cover that comes with the pack being too small in the first place to cover M.A.S. lens case, flash case, and etc. No I would not recommend it to anyone. Also the cover uses a string and not a bungee cord which I think would be a better choice to keep the cover on the packs and faster. Overall a very poorly designed product.

Tamrac photo backpacks are made from water-proofed materials and have giant rain flaps, so in general, they don't require a raincover. When extra security is desired, these M.A.S. Raincovers provide it with a double waterproof-coated PowerGrid nylon that protects everything except the back of the backpack and the harness. Folded in their pouch, they attach to any of the M.A.S. backpack attachment points.
