useful and also holds other items

By

from Brighton, NY  -  Photography Student

In addition to holding a flash (the vivitar 285hv fits as do all the models from canikon) The pouch will also fit many lenses including a 70-200 without the hood. This also fits onto normal belts, but will not b able to rotate all the around. The extra pocket and on/off velcro control are useful. This is a typical well though out high quality product from Thinkn Tank. It's not for everyone, but if you need something like this it will get the job done.

Think Tank Skin Strobe

Definitely a plus to be able to carry my SB900 non mounted on camera. Many times don't really know if flash will be needed for job on the run and carries well with other Think Tank lens pouches.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ROBERT F  Holds my strobe for easy access and it is roomy enough to carry extra gear such as batteries and flash cards.
Shopper  Can this be worn on a regular belt. ?
STEPHEN S  Yes this pouch can be worn on a regular belt. Keep in mind you may have a bit more horizontal movement since it will not be locked into the loop of the Think Tank belt using the plastic tab. Bottom line, it should be quite usable on a normal belt.
Shopper  Will this work with any belt or do you need a special think tank belt for this to work?
AARON Y  Because the Skin Strobe essentially is using a vecro back to go around the belt, it will work with any belt , it will not lock in place on other belts that do not have loops sewn onto the belt to accept a plastic tab with the skin strobe. I do recommend the Think Tank Pro Speed Belt with their Pixel Racing harness. I did a shoot in Alaska carrying Canon 1D Mk III, 580EX flash, 70-200 f2.8L, 100-400 f4 -5.6L, 24-70 2.8L, filter accessories, Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod, hiked and ferried all over for hours at a time and for days without feeling overwhelmed with weight. It is a great system. By the way, I started with the Lowe Pro carriers and found Think Tank to be much better... my Lowe Pro acessories do work with the Pro Speed Belt also... just not able to lock in place.
