About the Kramer Electronics PIP-500

The PIP-500 is a high-performance picture-in-picture inserter for up to 5 signals. The unit can accept and process composite video, s-Video (Y/C) and component video (YUV) signals. The PIP output can display up to 5 images simultaneously, each of which can be individually sized and positioned. The PIP-500 also has an additional quad output mode which displays four inputs in four equal sized images.

Kramer Electronics PIP-500 Features

  • Automatic NTSC/PAL/SECAM Mixing: The PIP-500 accepts all NTSC, PAL and SECAM standard signals. Conveniently, the monitor can mix these standards allowing for more versatile operation across all regions of the world
  • Multiple Pre-sets: The deck can preset 2 different PIP modes that can be retrieved with the touch of a button
  • Picture-in-Picture Options: All inputs can be displayed simultaneously, variable window sizing (1:1, 1:4, 1:9 or 1:16 each input), variable window positioning, freeze frame capability, optional window border and text labeling available for all inputs
  • Dedicated Quad Output Mode: 4 quarter-screen images displayed simultaneously for both s-Video and composite video outputs
  • Flexible Control Options: Front panel (with LCD and on-screen displays) and RS-232 (Windows-based Kramer control software is included)
