From S*ny to the Max... ell!
I have used the S*ny XDCAM discs on client projects for years until last year when I purchased the Maxell equivalent for a project I line produced and I have been using them on everything since. Everyone has saved money, received the same high quality and been very pleased with this product.
We use the Maxell PD-50DL and the Maxell PD-23SL in S*ny PDW-F800 and PDW-700 cameras and in all post readers and decks. We record in the MPEG HD422 mode.
Having both disc lengths at hand has also lent a hand in dollar savings.
No negative data thus far.

High Capacity, GREAT price on XDcam Disc
When I am working for a client in HD with my Sony PDW-800 who wants to leave location with an external hard drive full of files, I reach for a box of Maxell 50 DL XDcam discs. They are in-expensive and have a high capacity. I can shoot for a long time before changing out discs. Extra discs are small and easy to carry in a fanny back. Highly reliable and re-usable after file download with a re-format in the camera.
