It marries Maxell's highly-regarded, rugged "Field Tough Media" storage cartridges with Shining Technology's patented, award-winning CitiDISK tapeless video recorder. Together, iVDR VC102 is a video recording and storage powerhouse for today's DV/HDV/HD professional.

It combines the steps of acquiring and capturing data to a format that can be stored on removable disk. iVDR VC102 saves both professional shooters and editors many hours of production time by eliminating the often "dreaded" process of tape recapture or digitization. This is because VC102 streamlines the process for you automatically - your footage is digitized in real-time as it's being recorded. These time savings often save productions precious man hours, money and other valuable resources. The unit's ultra-portability, removable high-capacity storage and multiple mounting options provide video professionals a wide range of flexibility - especially in the field.

iVDR VC102 connects via FireWire to DV, HD and HDV camcorders to simultaneously or independently capture footage to tape and/or a removable high-capacity iVDR EX rugged hard drive cartridge. When shooting is complete, simply set camcorder to VCR mode to PLAY the last scenes on the viewfinder or plug directly into your computer's FireWire port to edit or play your video footage at anytime.

The Maxell iVDR Xtreme Adapter works in conjunction with the iVDR 250GB Field Tough media portable HDD. It features a convenient status LED indicator and includes (2) FireWire cables, USB 2.0 cable and a universal (world-wide) AC power adapter.
