OK, but not too exciting

Doesnt fit all that well and should have more ability to custom fit. A couple of more drawstrings, might give this better fit

Must have item.

Bought one a few months ago, went to a 5K run recently to photo my daughter running. Didn't know they were going to be throwing color dust bombs at the runners. I put this cover on my camera when I saw what they were doing and it kept it clean and healthy when a few of the participants got crazy and tossed some at the photographers. Light weight and easy to stow in my camera back pack or hang on the side with a clip. Great idea, cheap insurance!

Great Outdoor Lightweight Cover

Great fit with a Canon 5D II and battery grip. Keeps the camera dry and fits with a 70-200mm lens w/shade.

Not Scared of Storms Now !

I was looking for a rain cover to carry with me to football games and the Storm Jacket was it ! It's well made and doesn't take up much space in my back pack and goes on quickly.

A Must Have Accessory!

Very nice cover: worth every penny. I have used the "plastic bags", etc......always a hassle & leaked somewhere.......this cover is nice and easy...unless you have an absolutely watertight camera, this is one accessory you cannot be without.

Great Cover-Up

I bought Storm Jacket because I was taking an Alaskan cruise that included Zodiac boats and lots of on-deck small ship exposure. The southeast Alaskan climate includes daily rain and I didn't want my Nikon D200 exposed unnecessarily. The Storm Jacket is an economical and useful accessory for any drizzling or rainy day. It is easy to take along and can be attached, in its case, to your camera strap or belt loop as appropriate. It's quick to deploy but is not a burden to keep on the camera all the time. All controls are easily accessible through the rear opening and the front elastic cord seals the lens and body nicely from water. I received many inquiring comments from shipmates who were trying to cover up with shower caps and other improvised methods. I got many shots they missed as they fiddled with their plastic bags etc. I highly recommend Storm Jacket for light moisture environments. It is not adequate for river rapids running or other dousing exposure though. For that you need a more rugged seal and total enclosure.

About Vortex Media SJMY Storm Jacket Cover for SLR Camer

Storm Jacket Camera Covers are the most compact and portable camera protection you can carry with you everywhere you go . . . so you won't hesitate to use it anytime the camera is going to get wet, dirty, or sit in the sun. They are perfect for live shots setups, locker room celebrations, shooting in rain, drizzle, snow, and dusty or dirty environments.

They aren't meant to replace heavy-duty covers and rain slickers costing hundreds of dollars when you really need that level of protection. Storm Jackets can be slipped on and off in less than 5 seconds, which means you'll actually use them when you'd otherwise just let the camera get wet because you didn't want to struggle with a bulky cover.

When you're done with it, just shake it off, stuff it back into its zippered case, and shove it in a pocket. The cover and case together only weigh about 2-5 ounces depending on the model.

The Small size fits any SLR with most lenses up to about a 80-200mm f/2.8. Here's how to tell if it will fit your camera: Measure your camera/lens from the rear of the body to the front of the lens. If it's 9" or less, this is the cover for you.

The Medium size (recommended for most customers) works well for short lenses up through 300-400mm f/2.8. Measure your camera/lens from the rear of the body to the front of the lens. If it's 7"-15", this is the cover for you.

The Large size is built for very long lenses. Measure your camera/lens from the rear of the body to the front of the lens. If it's 14"-23", this is the cover for you...but, you might want to get a smaller size to go with it.
