VariZoom VZ-USJZF-PG-EX7 Jib Focus/Zoom Studio Kit for the Sony EX Series Cameras

The VariZoom VZ-USJZF-PG-EX7 is a focus and zoom controller kit built for the Sony EX series of high definition camcorders. The kit is designed specifically for use with jib arms and consists of the VZ-EFC-U electronic focus control, the VZ-PG-EX zoom controller and VZ-TFT7U 7" LCD monitor.

The VariZoom VZ-EFC-U is a universal electronic focus controller for use with HD cameras including the Sony EX-series of XDCAM EX camcorders. The unit comes equipped with a 95mm focus ring as well as a universal attachment bracket. The Varizoom VZ-PG-EX is a pistol-grip style zoom controller built specifically for the PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX camcorder. The unit is compatible with most models and fits easily onto almost any tripod handle, jib or support bar. Machined from high-grade aluminum, the VZ-PG-EX is designed to be both lightweight and extremely durable. Features include a pressure sensitive zoom rocker.

The Varizoom VZ-TFT-7 monitor serves two valuable purposes for the serious videographer. First, it functions as an external video display, allowing the shooter to step back from the camera while recording (no more bending over to peek through a tiny viewfinder). Combined with a tripod-mounted camera and a VariZoom lens controller, the VZ-TFT-7 emulates a 16:9 studio-style rig costing thousands of dollars. Used on a hand-held camera, the VZ-TFT-7 enables the operator to walk around with ease while accurately framing shots. Additionally, the VZ-TFT-7 provides a highly compact and affordable alternative to bringing a conventional CRT video monitor into the field for video playback.

Use the VZ-TFT-7 to review footage on an airplane or any other small space. Whether mounted on the camera using the optional swivel shoe mount (VZ-Shoe) or near the camera using the included stand, the monitor provides instant playback of footage for small groups.
