I've had Mack Warranties in the past so it was a no brainer to get them for my 2 new Canon XF105s. I've had repairs done with my Mack Warranty with no hassle in the past. It is by far also one of the most affordable.
Mack might be slow, but they always came through, I have been using them for about `17 years now, a bargain. I recommend to get the longest warranty possible, the older the more likely the electronics might fail. on the older DV cameras it was always the tape drives, now with the chips that problem has been eliminated. it's a cheap investment and when the dreaded day comes, you will be glad you did by their warranty.

Unlike earlier Mack warranties that required mail in to validate, now they do accept registration on the web. However, the fine print says that if you have a problem and do need to use your Mack warranty, they would still require a copy of your purchase and Mack warranty receipts. For value for peace of mind, and by how long they have been in the extended warranty business for photo/video equipment, though, this is still an acceptable solution – not perfect, but OK (would be perfect if I could submit equipment to repair based on the initial web registration that I just entered when I received the Mack contract by [...]).
