The Vortex Optics Summit Super Short Binocular Tripod is equipped with a handle-free ball head to reduce the weight of the tripod and its quick release plate allows you to remove and install spotting scopes and binoculars at a moment's notice. Though it's compact, the Summit SS is also stable, with rubber-tipped legs and a balance hook for holding extra weight during blustery days. To further improve the compact height of the tripod, Vortex Optics has built in a split center column in the Summit SS, which allows you to remove the bottom portion of the column for an incredibly low minimum height.
