Top of the Line MFT Adapter

By

from Ashburn, VA

The Voigtlander Micro 4/3 Adapter for Nikon F-mount lenses is a very, very high quality product. It does everything it is suppose to do and allows mounting Nikon AIS lenses on MFT cameras. AIS lenses are manual focus and must be used in Aperture Priority Mode but the manual focus assist in Olympus MFT cameras make this very easy to do ... indeed, much easier than manually focusing AIS lenses on Nikon DSLRs such as the D5000. In Aperture Priority Mode, automatic exposure in Olympus MFT cameras also works perfectly by varying the shutter speed. More expensive than other MFT adapters but you get what you pay for. There is no downside to this product.

Use the product with an AF100. Works well with older Nikkor lenses.

A Miracle For My Prime Lenses

By

from Honolulu, HI  -  Semi-Professional

I purchased this adapter to use on my 4 Nikon F prime lenses: 28mm, 50mm, 105mm & 200 mm. I purchased these lenses 32 years ago. To my surprise, it fits my lenses perfectly. It is reliable & securely built. It worths the price!

You Dont want this!

By

from New York, NY  -  Semi-Professional

It is a hunk of metal. there are NO electronics. subsequently NO aperture control. if you need aperture control, you have to get the even more expensive NOVOFLEX adapter - not that NOVOFLEX has any electronics either, but on that hunk of metal, there is at least a lo-fi dial to adjust aperture. If you dont need aperture control, just get a generic adaptor for [$] - those work fine.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
THOMAS D  Good price, good quality. Make sure you have external aperture control on the lenses you are using though, since it will not allow the camera to set F-stops.
Shopper  I am wondering if this mount has: 1. The aluminum ring on both ends of the converter? 2. Does this fit all the newer digital Nikon lens mounts? I am thinking of mounting a wide angle Tokina 11mm-16mm wide angle zoom with a Nikon mount (sold my D50) and using it on a Panasonic GH-1 Thanks for any help!
Brent M  Yes, the aluminum ring is on both sides off the mount and it's a very high qaulity/well made adapter. It wil also work with ALL nikon mount lenses includiing the Tokina 11-16; however, it does not have a built in apature ring.
