Shakes like a leaf in even the smallest breeze. Only used it a couple of times and the ball tensioning knob broke. DO NOT BUY THIS TRIPOD !!!! Would give it less than 1 star if I could.

This tripod is better than advertised. It is light weight. It is rigid, at least for my purpose. I'm not sure that I would hang a 15 lb. view camera from it but it handles my Canon 5D with 24-105mm L lens just fine. The ball head clamps securely. The column is not geared but rises smoothly and clamps easily and securely. Folded, it is a little longer than some of the more expensive tripods but on the other hand there is one less section and joint to fool with when extending the legs. I have to believe that one less joint is going to produce more rigidity. This is a great find for me and anyone else that might be dollar conscious. The only reason that I did not give this product 5 stars is that I rarely if ever give any product 5 stars. Maybe this one deserves that I break out of my mold.

I got this tripod for y childrens studio and it is very sturdy and strong. Also used outdoors already and it was great. I love it!
