About Vivitar RC-6

Wireless Shutter Release....

• The Vivitar RC-6 Infrared Shutter Release simplifies taking group photos by enabling you to step away from the camera. It's lightweight and easy to use. Simply point the infrared remote control towards your camera, from up to 16 feetaway, and press the button.

• Since you are not in physical contact with your camera, this remote will eliminate any chance of camera shake. This is especially useful for night time and low light photography, since the shutter will be open for longer periods of time.

• The Vivitar RC-6 Infrared Shutter Release will expand the functionality of your camera, and improve your photos.

Did not work with T3i/600D

By

Good = Inexpensive Bad= Did not work with supposedly compatible T3i. Adorama support referred me to Vivitar support. Vivitar support did not know of problem. Would replace it if I mailed it back at my expense. Since unit is inexpensive, it seemed marginal to return ($) and maybe just end up with another incompatible unit. Official Canon unit costs more, but has additional switch to change modes and would be definitely compatible. Consider options if you are concerned about compatibility.
