The WD 1TB My Passport Studio Portable HDD is perfect for storing and taking with you a variety of files including HD videos, movies, photos, documents, music and more as it comes with a large 1TB storage capacity. Transferring your data to and from this drive is easy as it comes equipped with two FireWire 800 ports, designed for daisy chaining to other compatible devices and one USB 2.0 port. Out of the box, this drive is formatted HFS+ Journaled making it compatible with Mac OS X Lion and Mountain Lion. While this drive comes preformatted for Mac, a simple reformat is all that is needed to utilize this drive with a Windows based PC.
