Great light... would have gotten a little more powerful one if I had known when I bought it. But other than that it has been great.

Great light for a small studio

from Atlanta  -  Photo Enthusiast

I added two additional lights to a two light set and couldn't be happier. The only con I can see is that they might not be powerful enough for a larger studio. When running through a softbox with a defuser, the lights have to be cranked to 100% most of the time. Easy to use, easy to set up and fire accurately every time. Remember to hit the test button after you adjust the power and re-meter and you will be fine.

Questions about this item:

Glenn N  Why does Adorama say the Westcott Strobelight is 150 Watts/sec and the Strobelight Plus is 200 Watts/sec when the Westcott website show 300 Watts and 400 Watts respectively?
Andrew R  This particular unit's actual rated output is 150 watt/seconds. Some manufacturers rate their units based on "effective" output meaning that "X" unit's output is actually 150 watt/seconds but looks like 300 watt/seconds so they call it "300-effective w/s".
Darrell B  Is this same unit as Model 0150? Shows Max Watts 500
Andrew R  Not sure I understand your question. We currently offer Westcott Strobelite models in 150 and 200 watt second models. I do not currently have a listing for a 500 watt second unit.
