Where was Westcott when the light didn't

By

After the warranty expired, but with very little use, the light stopped working. I contacted Westcott for support. The following was their response. ================================= "Thank you for your purchase and taking the time to email Westcott. There is not a fuse involved or anything that is user changeable as far as making the light work again. If you've already tried different bulbs then it must be something electrical within. Because it is beyond the warranty period, you might contact a local electrician in your area to see if it cannot be fixed. Sorry that I cannot offer any further assistance on this. Jennifer Holtsberry The F. J. Westcott Company 1425 Holland Rd. Suite B, Maumee, Ohio 43537 ================================= They can't offer any further assistance? No parts available? Nothing? Good luck with that policy!

This Product is Great

By

This is a great peace of hardware that allows you to position and control your light. I use it for portraits and photographing newborns acting as a window light. As the review headline states, "Simply Fantastic." Very easy to set-up.

Very well built lights, LOVE the bag

By

wow this kit puts out some light! very easy to setup. very well-built quality construction. i'm impressed with the lights and the bag that it comes with is perfect and holds the boxed lights, the TD6 heads, the lightstands, and other gear like my tripod and other stuff. very cool bag. the only drawback is that i'm not very strong and this is a heavy wheeled bag to travel with. it's at least 75 pounds. so i might just keep this in the studio and not cart it around. lol

Questions about this item:

Shopper  What stand would you recommend for this light?
MICHEALE W  Any heavy duty light stand should work. Mine are heavy duty telescoping, with either spring or air cushioning. I have had them for some time now so do not remember the brand but I think any heavy duty stand should work. The light is not terribly heavy but is large so needs a good base.
kristin L  What stand is recommend for this? It would be great if they would have an accessories area.
LISA F  I recommend a heavy duty stand. I use a Matthews stand. It's a heavy unit and you wouldn't want anything less than heavy duty! preferably with casters.
