It is easy and it works

I recently returned from a trip overseas with this device. I used it daily to back up my RAW files and my wife's point-and-shoot. Battery life was a concern based on the specs, but it was not an issue. A daily recharge allowed it to easily import all the photos. By the end of the trip it was backing up 10-13 GB a day, since I never purged the cards of their files (allowing for multiple sources). This method also creates numerous copies of the earliest files on the Wolverine.

Not Good For CF Card Users

The CF card slot on this device is also made for MD cards. This makes the slot so big that there is so much play that it is difficult to put a CF card in quickly. On a busy shoot it's hard to not bend the pins by inserting the card wrong.

Questions about this item:

Warwick B  Am I correct in assuming that I can access any image in the device from Photoshop for processing?
JOSEPH M  Assuming you're using a PC, not an Apple, yes. The USB cord makes it act just like another drive; you can copy them to your hard drive or read & write to the Wolverine drive. And yes, you can open it from within PS but I would copy it to my PC's hard drive, back it up, and then open it from PS - but that's just me! I don't know that it won't work with an Apple, I'm just not an Apple person.
Jane K  Will this device accept sdxc cards?
ALBERT P  It takes the following media: Compact Flash Micro Drive Memory Stick MS-Pro MS-Duo MS-Pro-Duo Secure Digital SDHC MMC Micro SD XD
Shopper  Can you view the photos stored on the device?
ANDREA N  No, you can't.
