Good sound, not great features

Good sound for something at this pricepoint - my M9-SLs sound about the same, but have a better fit/more selection of tips, and also a soft carry case (which I assumed was just more or less a given at this price point). I think overall good sound, but not a great value. They didn't even have a cord split management system, so you're stuck with the full length from the split to your ears the whole time. Wouldn't buy again.

Okay, but not great

I needed some replacements for my old earbuds. I tried these with the expectation that they would sound great, since they're from Yamaha. Well, they were okay but I wasn't blown away. Honestly, my old earbuds had better isolation and better lows. They work, but only if you're not expecting audiophile quality.

Perfect Sound

>I use the Product with my iRiver d1000 and Laptop. >The Bass and Treble is perfect, not too much and at the same time, it's not too ear piercing. >This product has no problems and I would definitely recommend it to a Friend.

Very Good for the Price

Great sound for the price (in the $15-$25 range). They sound almost as good as a pair of Panasonic RP-HJE350 buds. The Panasonic does have better range in the higher end that's missing in the Yamaha's, but this is good for people who find highs too ear splitting. There are times when I have to lower my mp3 player's treble setting for certain songs when using the RP-HJE350. The Panasonic also has the edge in build quality and comfort, as the Yamaha feels like it's made of flimsy plastic and rubber, and the part of the earbuds that's supposed to conform to the outer ear is rather wide. In any case, the Yamaha was a few dollars lower than the Panasonic, which remain my main headphones. The Yamaha I leave in my backpack as backup just in case I forget the Panasonic, and when I do have need of them I don't at all miss the Panasonic.

nice earphones

Recently bought a mp3 player for my wife and the earphones were not the best. The bass was lacking, they were not very comfortable and they fell out of the ears sometimes. These were a good replacement for those. The bass is actually audible, good sound quality for the price and they stay in the ears without discomfort. The color chosen also matched the mp3 player. She really likes them and so do I. Would buy again.
