The Yamaha EZ-220 is a 61-key portable keyboard ideal for beginners learning to play. It's jam packed with 392 instrument sounds including strings, guitars, brass, saxophones, drums and of course, Yamaha's renowned piano sounds. It also delivers 100 preset styles that accompany your playing so you can spark up a jam session whenever you wish.
Packed with tons of fun learning tools, it features keys that light up letting you know which to press as you play along with the 100 preset songs - each with its own digital score. It also offers wireless connectivity to Yamaha's free Page Turner iPad app. As you play along with the built-in songs, this remarkable app turns the pages at just the right time and even allows you to record audio tracks of your playing and singing.

I almost bought this. But, I noticed Yamaha discontinued all of the other EZ keyboards that had the features that I wanted. Now, all that is available is the entry level EZ-220 with minimal features compared to the ones they discontinues. I'm guessing that Yamaha will be coming out shortly with more enhanced featured EZ selections with IPAD page turner. Guess I will have to wait until they come out with the newer models.
Great Product for the price.
I purchased this model exclusively for the Yamaha digital sound reputation, grand piano inclusive, and for the lighted-key option. It's GREAT and so much fun to play! Other visual learners will understand the benefit of the lighted-key feature. A full 88-key instrument with this option would be an excellent addition to the Yamaha family. The modulation feature (ability to play multiple octaves within the 61 keys) is a good work-around. Headphones (or perhaps an amplifier) are best for true sound performance. Additional features would have given this model a perfect 5 stars: 1) On-board recording capability 2) Split-keyboard instrument playability (or ability to blend voices) 3) Angled LCD display for easier viewing 4) Colored buttons. The EZ-220 will connect to a computer for recording and arranging music (software not included, nor is the AC power adapter). Beginners and advanced alike will enjoy this instrument. I was playing along with the pre-programmed songs within minutes! For the price, the EZ-220 is a good choice.
