Loved the way that this systems presents itself right out of the box. The system looks and sounds professional. The left and right speakers have excellent separation of channels even in smaller spaces. I opted to purchase a DSX12 Subwoofer to add a little more bottom end for musical performance, but it isn't really necessary for the majority of uses. I purchased the optional transport cases at the same time I purchased the system and could not be any happier with them.

... if you understand the philosophy of this PA, then it is a good tool to do stuff... if necessary, it is good, that you can add a sub, because of the sub output... for small party's, sport events for announcements, movie showings with a projector... and many more...

I purchased this system to use for small duo/trio gigs and occasional DJ use. I looked at several other compact systems and nothing really compared in terms of features and portability. I was concerned about the sound quality since I had never heard the Stagepas systems before. I'm used to the excellent quality of the QSC K series speakers, which we use for larger band gigs. But I must say, I'm thrilled with the sound quality of this system. The low end these small speakers produce is very impressive and the sound overall is crystal clear. The mixer provides some nice features including the iPod/iPhone port (which does work with an iPhone 5 even though I didn't see that listed), and the ability to plug in a subwoofer. The only thing I wished for was the ability to control a monitor mix. You can send a monitor feed to another set of speakers but you can't control what's in that feed. Everything gets sent to the monitors. Overall, this is a great little system. It's extremely easy to transport and set up and sounds fantastic. I would highly recommend.

This is a great system. Just wish Yamaha would have offered a travel case with the package. If you are traveling this will get damaged. Takes some of portable out of system.

Quick set-up is great advantage to gigging musicians. Compact size suits performances in small bars etc. Unbelievable power and sound quality for such a compact system. Very impressed.

I'm a vocalist who usually performs solo, playing background tracks from my Kindle Fire HD through the 600i mixer. I was disappointed that the built-in USB port on the 600i works only with Apple products. So I use an adapter cable to connect the Kindle Fire HD. I previously owned a StagePas 500 but after a few weeks, decided to trade up to the 600i. Sound is more full and lush, which is hard to believe given that the speakers are only slightly larger than the 500 speakers. The 600i is heavier and about $200 more in cost. It's a bit harder to transport, but worth the effort for the ease of use, the expanded equalizer capability, and the choice of 4 different kinds of reverb.
