About Bebob Engineering Lux, DC Powered Video Camera Light with Dimmer. #LUX

16x9 Inc. introduces the Lux dimmable on-board camera light from Bebob Engineering. Lux is smartly designed to offer three uses in one convenient light: on-board camera, handheld and stand-mounted, without need for extra accessories or brackets.

Adjustable Light Temperature with 30% More Output
Lux features (optional) both a standard 5600ºK dichroic filter and special dichroic to balance the light at 4400ºK for situations with a mix of daylight and halogen. (Optional) Bulbs with built-in mirror & diffuser employ IRC technology to provide 30% more output than traditional camera lights.

Flexibility and Security
The Lux features a unique double-articulated design that allows it to vary it's nesting position 3" (8 cm) up and down, or forward and back. This flexibility can avoid unwanted shadows created by a Rycote or a mattebox. The customized mounting clamp prevents rotation from the camera handle, regardless of whether the light is fixed to thread, a female, or a male photo-shoe.

Convenient Installation and Removal
Lux attaches neatly in front of the camera so there is no interference with the camera when it is being carried. A bayonet connector between the head and the base station allows for quick removal of the light (with only 1/5 of a twist) to reduce mounting time.

Strategically Placed Controls
Lux's ergonomic Dimmer-Potentiometer Knob is integrated into the base station for ease of use and insulation from the bulb's heat. Lux's On/Off switch is located away from the base station to avoid accidental adjustment of the dimmer or draining of the batteries.

Safety Features
Lux features a built-in bulb ejector to eliminate finger burns when changing bulbs. The ejector safely and neatly pushes the old bulb out of the light's ceramic mount. To install a new bulb, simply push the ejector back into the standard position. Plus, the Lux head design employs a series of ventilation slots to reduce light and bulb temperatures. Slots are located on the right side of the light to prevent stray light from disturbing the camera.
