TwinLink from Seculine is a radio flash trigger kit which provides a complete solution for photographers to wirelessly trigger both their studio flash systemsand camera flash systems.
The Seculine T2D incorporates a combination of 2.4Ghz radio frequency and Infra Red signals to give faultless triggering response, each and every time the shutter is fired. The transmitter and receiver being triggered by a Radio Frequency will operate in situations where you do not have line of sight, so that the flash equipment can be hidden behind walls and objects in your image for the best lighting effects.
The transmitter and receiver have 16 selectable channels so that you can ensure you are using a different frequency to other photographers that may be sharing the same studios. If you do however choose to use multiple receivers then they can be set to the same channel for multiple flash response.
The TwinLink system has been designed to give the best possible coverage, with arange of up to 150ft indoors and up to 600ft outdoors making it a hugely versatile system, especially when using multiple receivers and flash heads to light large areas.
On both the T2D transmitter and receiver you can adjust the power off time from 5 minutes to 95 minutes to save batteries in the event of the unit not being used for prolonged periods.
Battery or Mains operation:
The receiver has the capability to be powered by the supplied AAA batteries or the included mains power supply depending on your needs. When using the mains power supply in studio situations, the batteries should be removed from the unit, or alternatively rechargeable batteries can be fitted which will also trickle charge whilst connected to mains power.
The transmitter can either be mounted directly to your camera hot shoe, taking the firing signal directly from the camera.
Alternatively if you wish to mount a flash gun on board your camera, taking up the hot shoe position, then an adhesive hot shoe mount is provided to allow the transmitter to be positioned in an alternative convenient location and connected to your camera via the supplied Sync cord.
This gives you the creativity to utilize a direct flash whilst using the TwinLink system to add a key light or background light to enhance your images.
When using studio flash it is often difficult to position wireless receivers. Seculine have included a magnetic adapter which securely fits on the underside of the Receiver, allowing it to be easily attached magnetically to the housing of your studio flash head or Generator.
For situations where there is no surface that the magnets will attach to, an adhesive metal plate is also provided to give the magnetic attraction required to place the receiver conveniently wherever you would like.
Utilising your standard off Camera Flash via the Hot Shoe fitting:
The receiver has been cleverly designed to give added versatility with its builtin hot shoe mount, so that you can make use of your existing camera flashguns toadd creative lighting. The receiver can also be easily and conveniently positioned using the tripod adapter so that it can be mounted on any tripod or any Interfit light stands.

The TwinLink kit is designed to work straight out of the box with most popular flash systems, utilizing the included 3.5mm Jack lead and the 7.5mm Mono jack connector.
As supplied the TwinLink T2D system is compatible with current studio Flash systems from the following manufacturers:

Once I received the package and I tried turning on the triggers, I've notice that one of them (Transmitter) wasn't working I bought new batteries and they still didn't work.
Bought these to do some school projects involving off camera flash. I wanted to get a set of PocketWizards due to all the hype, but due to the college budget, I settled on these. So far they haven't dissapointed. My only gripe is I wish the receiver had better mounting option, like the ability to be mounted to an umbrella rod or Speedlite foot.
This wireless flash transmitter works well. Sometimes the signal does get blocked. But for the price it is a good one to have in your equipment bag.
