Consumers looking to buy fashionable compact cameras no longer needn't break the bank to look fabulous. In the latest update of Adorama AIRC's "The Best Fashion Compact Cameras Right Now," new models with more features, higher resolution, and a haute cauteur sensibility have been introduced in recent months at prices ranging from just below $200 to around $280.

"Whereas a fashion-conscious shooter might have had to spend around $300-400 last year, you can get more capable cameras for a lot less now," notes AIRC editor Mason Resnick. "You can truly get a high fashion look while paying bargain bin prices."

Cameras were selected for "The Best Fashion Compact Cameras Right Now" based on eye-catching design, multiple colors, and useful features. In this case, five models--plus different color variations--were chosen.

"The Best Fashion Compact Cameras Right Now" part of the "Best...Right Now" series of articles, which highlight the top examples of several different camera categories.

Of course, you could splurge for the sake of fasion on such cameras as the all-gold Minox DC-1011 Carat ($1,700), but most mortals will probably be more interested in the Aquamarine Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX10A ($190, shown) or the classy black Olympus Stylus 750 ($280).
