Protect your camera’s rear flank
Protect your high-end DSLR’s LCD screen with a pop-up shade and clear cover.
One of the most sensitive parts of a digital camera is its LCD monitor. While thumb and nose prints can be easily wiped away, scratches can happen, especially when you’re shooting outdoor and extreme activities. Even everyday use exposes your camera’s LCD to scratches, so protection and access are essential. Delkin Professional Pop-Up Shades protect your LCD.
Many of Delkin’s Professional Pop-Up Shades are contoured to fit specific high-end cameras, such as the Nikon D2X, D3, andD60, and the Canon 5D, EOS 1Ds Mark II, and EOS 50D. (There are many more; check to see Delkin makes one for your camera.)
All of the shades fold up to protect the LCD monitor when not in use, and many are molded or contoured over the camera’s control buttons (such as the unit designed for the Canon EOS 40D, shown), giving you pushbutton access to key controls while still protecting the monitor. And of course, the shade itself makes it much easier to accurately view images in either preview or LiveView modes so you can get a better sense of exposure and composition.
Some models include a protective, rubberized eyepiece that slips over your camera’s optical viewfinder. Check the specs to see if that feature is available for your camera.
All of the covers snap on, hooking onto the grooves built into your camera. Buttons are aligned with those on your camera, reducing wear and tear and protecting them somewhat from grime. Each of Delkin’s shades are designed for specific cameras for a more snug fit and sap-on/off installation.
Added bonus: With the hood closed, you are less likely to chimp!
