Memory Keepers

The humble craft of scrapbooking has evolved, and is more photographically oriented than ever.

Once upon a time, scrapbooks were random collections of articles, newspaper clippings, letters and such, and photos were an afterthought. But that's changed, and now photographs are central to the typical modern scrapbook. And with the increased emphasis on photography, scrapbooking has grown from a quaint little hobby to a major industry with over 2.5 billion annually in product sales and millions of enthusiasts.

At the Adorama Learning Center, we're impressed with how much scrapbooking has become a popular, engaging way to present and share your photographs. That's why we've decided to dedicate an entire area of our site to helping you get started on the path towards great scrapbooking.

Join our scrapbooker-in-residence and long-time photography writer Elinor Stecker-Orel, who years ago was bitten by the Scrapbooking bug. She'll be your guide and help you get started. Look for new scrapbooking how-to articles every day for the next week...and be sure to share your tips with us in the comments!

Happy scrapping!
