Thin, touchscreen-driven camera announed
With its surprising design, the newest model in the Rollei Flexline series is simply too attractive to keep in your bag. The 15.6-mm flat case in glossy black, blue or glittering metallic pink, the smooth, rounded corners and the elegant aluminium trim make the Flexline 100 inTOUCH a stylish accessory.
But the “intrinsic values” are also persuasive: a 10 megapixel CCD sensor, the internal 3x optical Apogon zoom and 21 motif programmes, which include smile and face detection, guarantee you’ll have loads of fun when taking photos. And thanks to the integrated image-processing feature, you can retouch your photos to remove unattractive red eyes or create different mood lighting without having to copy them to the computer.
One of the real strengths of the Flexline 100 inTOUCH – as with all Rollei models – is that it is really easy to use, thanks to the 3 inch TFT LCD touchscreen on the back of the camera. You can scroll backwards and forwards through the menus by simply touching the screen lightly. The user interface also provides a few surprises, especially when displaying the snapshots: pictures are automatically displayed horizontally or vertically, depending on how the user holds the camera.
Don’t miss a moment!
As we all know, split-second reactions are needed when taking sport or action photos. In order to ensure you don’t miss a moment, the Rollei Flexline 100 inTOUCH is equipped with a high-speed serial picture function, which enables you to take 30 pictures per second. And the newest Rollei also stands out from the crowd in this area: the playback function allows you to replay the serial pictures on the display like a small film. The camera can obviously also be used to shoot “real” films, which, thanks to YouTube, can be uploaded directly to the Internet.
The presentation of the Flexline 100 inTOUCH marks the beginning of Rollei’s anniversary year and will be available from January 2010 for 199.95 euros (RRP).
