Camtrol introduced the Camtrol, a customizable stabilizing platform, designed for smaller video cameras, DSLRs, and interchangeable-lens HD compact digital cameras last week at NAB.

Apr 16, 2010 – Las Vegas, Nevada – Camtrol shocks the DSLR and video camera industry with a revolutionary, fully adjustable camera stabilizing system ideal for use in the production of action, sports, reality and event videos.

The Camtrol stabilizing platform provides for smooth, shake-free shooting and a multitude of grips that can be configured on the fly, thus allowing for a higher quality final product. With its three locking ball joints and vertical stabilizer bar, the Camtrol can be set to numerous configurations that allow the user to remain standing upright while capturing ground level shots, overhead shots and other angles that were never before possible.

To test a Camtrol unit matched with one of the latest DSLR cameras, Camtrol teamed up with Panasonic to run the new Lumix DMC-GH1K through its paces. After many days of intense testing, a conclusion was made that the new GH1 is an excellent piece of photo machinery that rivals any DSLR video camera on the market today.
