Adorama Photography TV presents: What are Autofocus Points, and how do they work?

The reason for all of these autofocus points is to make it easier for photographers to create off-center compositions and still get the focus right. In this episode Mark will give you tips on how to use the autofocus points, and how to control autofocus points on commonly-used DSLRs.

Great model

I didn't really understand the greatness of having so many different possibilities. For me it sounds easiest to just do what Marc said in the end, move to what you want to focus on, half press, recompose and shoot. The only benefit with being able to choose is if you're on a tripod I guess and don't want to move the camera. PS: Give my compliments to Sam, she is the only model that looks so happy all the time with a great smile <3

Very helpful

Mark, thank you for such a clear explanation, and for showing how it's done. I tried on my 7D. Now I know how to do it. Before I simply ignored this feature.
