Share your best macro and close-up shots!

By Adorama Learning Center Editors

May 23, 2011

May is Macro Photography Month at the Adorama Learning Center, and now it's your turn to show the world your best macro work.

UPDATE: THIS INVITATIONAL IS NOW CLOSED FOR ENTRIES. WE WILL SELECT AND POST WINNERS ON THURSDAY, MAY 26.

Announcing the Adorama Learning Center's Macro Photography Invitational! We've been showing you how to take better macro photos this month (and we have more cool tips coming this week!), but now it's your turn to show what you've learned and bask in the glory of the appreciation of your peers!

Here's how it works:

  • Post your favorite macro photo on Adorama's Facebook wall or link to it from your Twitter feed and use the tag #adoramamacro
  • Alternatively, post a link to your favorite photo from the comments section, below.
  • List gear used and exposure, plus some info about what's in the photo. We'll review the entries and post our favorites later this week!
  • One entry per person, please!

Selected photos will be posted here in the Adorama Learning Center Tech Tock blog, along with tech data and (if available) links to the photographer's online portfolio or web site, so while there's no money involved, you will be rewarded with visibility and traffic, and you retain all rights to your image.

Deadline is 5:00 am (US Eastern Time), Wednesday, May 25, 2011.

Good luck to all!

The important fine print: By submitting your photo you are giving Adorama permission to use your image, if we choose it, in  the Macro Photography Invitational web page and homepage link only. You retain all other rights. This invitational is open to photographers worldwide, but not to Adorama employees.
