The Nikon J1 offers many of the same features you can find on a full DSLR in a new breed of interchangeable-lens camera that fits in the palm of your hand. A very well done review in general. You almost convinced me to run out and buy this camera, but one thought crossed my mind. You work for Adorama that sells the camera. Could that possibly explain your enthusiasm. Hmmm! All kidding around, I do love the camera and have had a chance to look at it. It is definately the fasted focusing camera that I have seen. A great camera from a great company. Well done Nikon!!!

While interesting, the review could be better if it said more on what differentiates the two new similar J1 and V1 models (and when the other camera review would be out) plus what the prices on both cameras were. How about including what the suggested prices for the lenses are?

Looking forward to purchasing this camera. Review is well done! Looks like a winner... I own two D300 and numerous lens but am looking for something smaller for a walk about. Is on my Christmas list...

Mark, surely you have some sort of responsibility to provide a reasonably objective review. terrible video providing no help to a discerning consumer.

Mark, I think Nikon should higher you to promote the Nikon 1 systems. Seriously. The campaign they have had has so far has been pretty flat. They could use someone with your enthusiasm for the system showing it off. What Nikon's ads I feel have lacked is actually showing the usefulness of modes like the pre-post video mode and the still while shooting video Now if only they would release a D700 replacement that is as well designed as you feel the Nikon 1 system is, particularly the the auto focus.
