See who won a Canon T3i!

By Nathan Bush

January 17, 2012

New Year's is a great symbolic opportunity to reassess our values and current trajectory. In this spirit, we asked our customers to post on Twitter their Resolutions with the hashtag #CanonResolution for a chance to win a Canon T3i.

A tidal wave of responses poured in. The photos were inspirational, witty, beautiful and often all of these at once.

Alas, there can only be one winner, but we were blown away by the quantity and quality of responses, so thank you everyone for contributing! It was an extremely hard choice. In choosing the winner, a lot of factors played into the decision: aesthetics, presentation of the idea, and of course, the stated goal. We'll get to the winner at the conclusion of this post, but first, we want to acknowledge...

The Runners Up:

The Irresistibly Cute Animal Award (tie)

@christianfatu: New Years resolution: Eat the competition!

@kevincelustka: My New Year's resolution – enjoy the time I have to relax.

The Wit Award

@annulla: I resolve to figure out how to understand subway service interruption notices.

The Wisdom Award

@_chrissyb_: Capture more landscapes in far off locations.

The Socially Conscious Award

@MarkKalan: My #CanonResolution for today is to cleanup any mess I make... #recycle #garbage

And the Winner is...

@hypnotania: I resolve to read more.

We loved @hypnotania's compositional skills and the photo's ability to so aptly describe her Resolution. Congratulations on winning your new T3i and may it serve as a constant reminder to keep reading!
