A PPSOP special presentation

By

Many photographers don't know how close they can focus with their wide angle lens. In this video PPSOP founder Bryan Peterson shows you what opportunities await when you focus as close as you can with your wide angle lens!

Look at the difference between the first shot, taken while standing, and the second, which uses my wide-angle lens's closest focus setting:

Before:

After:

The difference when taking advantage of your wide-angle lens's closest focus is definitely dramatic!  See my video below to see me explain this, literally, in depth.

Good reminder to try different perspectives

I do own the Nikkor 24-85 lens, and it is my "everyday" lens. Thanks for this reminder to use different perspectives and go for unusual shots. I always enjoy your videos!

Great information

I have the Nikon 16-35 F4 VR Lens . What are your thoughts on this lens? I'm going to practice jus to see how close I can focus. [The Nikon 16-35mm f/4 VR focuses down to approximately 12 inches--Ed.]

Wide Angle Warmup

Thanks for this great tip! I've never been much of a wide angle user and the the 16-24mm sits in the bag more than any of my other lenses. This has inspired me to pull it out of the bag and perhaps even put an extension tube between it and the film plane.
