FAQ: The basics

Will there be food and beverages?


Drinks and light bites will be served during session breaks. Lunch will be provided.

Will Blographer be broadcast online, or will it be recorded?


Nope. Since this is the kickoff Blographer event, we decided to keep it intimate and focused on in-person community building with attendees. Stay tuned to Adorama’s Twitter and Facebook feeds though for buzz from the event. Also, be sure to follow our fabulous speakers and teachers to hear their insights via social media channels!

Will there be Blographer events in the future?


Maybe! Future events are possible. We’ll get feedback from this year’s attendees and then see if there’s demand for more Blographers! Please let us know by emailing if you’d like to attend future events like this!

Should I bring my camera?


Although you don’t need to bring all of your gear, we encourage you to bring along whatever you’re most comfortable carrying around for shots of friends in front of our fun Step-n-Repeat photo backdrop. That might mean your iPhone – which is totally fine! It’s all about networking, and part of blogger networking is sharing images of your experience. Remember, you’ll probably be blogging about Blographer to share what you learned with your readers. So shoot plenty of pictures to post on your own blog! Then, share your links with us so we can see everyone’s personal experiences.

What else what should I bring with me?


Just yourself! Other than that, an attitude of openness to learn and share. To facilitate networking, bring along your business cards or portfolios. Don’t forget your laptop, iPad or other mobile device for sharing words and images. You’ll have plenty to talk about on your blog because Blographer is all about sharing!

What will be supplied?


There will be a fun photobooth back drop, WiFi access, Classroom-style seating with tables, networking time with fellow bloggers and speakers, Q&A time with speakers at every session during the breaks and LOTS of great giveaways, Flash drive with some useful eBook and info, swag and surprise prizes in addition to the goodie bag from our amazing sponsors!

We heard that President Obama will address BlogHER12 at 4:30pm on August 2nd! Will we get to hear him if we want to?


That’s a great point. We’re planning to do our best to finish the last session around 4pm, so those who want to leave to attend the BlogHer 2012 Obama address will be able to!
